Project Description:

The training must to include, courses in Excel, SharePoint and Project.
Below are the topics and objectives for each of the Microsoft Office course. All courses need to be provided live and in person. In addition, the following applies to each course:

  • Time of Courses: 0800-1630 Full day courses
  • Maximum class size for courses 25 students

Course 1: Microsoft Excel

Course shall not exceed 2 days.

This course shall teach ways to make our employee’s job easier and increase the sophistication of this data reporting and analyzing. Focus should be on time-saving techniques and advanced how-to’s.
Topics to be included:

  • Understand how to use the Analysis Tool Pak to make complex data analysis a snap
  • Practice creating a PivotTable report to analyze volumes of data, generate summary views, see comparisons and reveal patterns in your data
  • Discover a quick way to learn VBA syntax and add power to your spreadsheets
  • Format large blocks of cells quickly and efficiently with the Format Painter
  • Make your titles and headings stand out by using the Merge and Center formatting feature
  • How to fill out an entire column of data using the Flash Fill tool
  • Why and how to create relationships between tables
  • Create custom AutoFilters to view data the way you want to and take accurate data entry

Course 2: Microsoft SharePoint

Course shall not exceed 1 day.

This workshop shall teach a collaboration tool capable of many more than storing documents in a central location. This course should identify how to use it as hubs for your work team – a communication portal that can house calendars, serve as a knowledge management resource, or even as a team website. Covering the ins and outs of how to manage documents and resources and how to integrate other Microsoft Office products, all from an end user’s
perspective.
Topics to be included:

  • Identify basic functions of Microsoft SharePoint
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members
  • Work remotely with SharePoint content
  • Add and modify list items and work with list views
  • Add, edit and share documents across libraries and wikis
  • Utilize Excel® Services to share Excel workbooks
  • Customize their SharePoint environment
  • Create new groups

Course 3: Microsoft Project

Course shall not exceed 2 days.

This workshop should provide beginning to intermediate level training on managing projects. effectively with budgets and head counts cut to the bone. Covering the ability to manage projects, as a vital business tool.
Topics to be included:

  • Quickly master the Ribbon interface Import tasks into your project from virtually any source
  • Pull resources from Microsoft Outlook, Active Directory and other sources
  • Merge multiple projects into a single master project
  • Take advantage of templates that can dramatically reduce your project planning time
  • Properly estimate task durations and manage deadlines so your projects stay on track
  • Generate professional-looking project reports with just a few mouse clicks
  • Create custom views that’ll give you real-time information on your project status so nothing slips through the cracks
  • What components make up a project such as resources, tasks and more
  • The differences among the various versions of Microsoft Project including Standard, Professional and Server versions
  • How to use Microsoft Project’s Ribbon interface and quickly customize it to best fit your needs
  • How to use the File tab (Backstage) to manage your project files
  • How to find commands quickly with a single click of your mouse
