Project Description:

We are looking for trainer that can provide a 3-5 days Business Analysis Training, for 20 persons. If you are interested please send us your resume and hourly rate.

Performance Requirements:

To better support our customers, the goals of the workshops must include:

  • Provide training whereby students gain a better understanding of the requirements in the development process by exploring progressive elaboration of requirements.
  • Learn how to identify the right tools, techniques, approach to requirements gathering, and level of detail for unique software development projects.
  • Upon completion the student should understand common business analysis approaches and be able to select the right business analysis technique — from planning, through conducting elicitation meetings and writing well-formed user requirements, to validating the requirements and managing changes to them.
  • Gain confidence in collaborative design techniques to aid in communication of project requirements.
  • We prefer students to learn by doing and not through lecture, with hands-on, practicing through exercises, activities, facilitated discussions, case studies, role-play, workshops, printed materials and presentations.

Training must cover:

Getting Started – Role of the BA and Planning

Understand Business Analysis role
   o Design
   o Testing
   o Implementation / Post Implementation
• Relationship between the Business Analyst and Project Manager
• Understand requirements, business rules, process, data, interfaces, interactions, scope
• Requirements defined and their classifications
   o Key business analysis terms, activities and general overview of business analysis
   o Key business analysis activities, deliverables, and techniques


• Identify and analyze stakeholders
   o How to get the right domain expert/SMEs to specify requirements
• Understand common Business Analysis approaches and select the right Business Analysis technique
   o Gap analysis
   o Business Processes
• Understand the dependency of requirements on testing and how to design requirements gathering with testing in mind.


• Learn the different ways of working with business stakeholders to obtain insights into their needs, concerns and working environment
• Learn and practice several elicitation techniques
• Understand the process for elicitation and what techniques work better in certain situations
• How to plan and facilitate requirements workshops/JAD sessions
• Practice workshop collaboration techniques

Requirements Modeling

• Understand the importance of modeling and analyzing requirements
• Learn when and why to model
• Understand and practice different types of modeling
   o Process modeling (Process Maps, Swim Lanes)
   o Data modeling (Data Matrix, ERD, Class Diagram, Data Mining)
   o Interface modeling (Prototypes, Mockups, Wireframes, Storyboards)
   o Interaction modeling (Use Cases, SIPOC)
   o Writing Effective Use Cases
   o Decision modeling (Decision Trees, Weighted Ranking)
   o Scenarios
• Modeling based on approach (Agile, Waterfall, Incremental)

Developing & Managing Requirements

• Understand the different ways to document requirements
• How to gather business polices and rules
• Practice writing well-formed requirements – that easily become testable
• Understand how to package requirements for review by stakeholders
• Learn different methods of requirements prioritization (Waterfall, Agile)
• Learn how to simplify requirements and how to tell when there is enough
• Understand and practice requirements traceability
•Managing requirements after software implementation

Testing and Implementation

• Understand how requirements relate to the overall plan
• Managing change in scope
• How to coordinate/support testing and quality assurance during the SDLC
• Understand and practice writing test cases

Coach/Trainer must have:

  • Enough “real world” experience to relate to students questions and provide practical, actionable answers.
  • The instructor must have demonstrable Business Analysis teaching experience with references to support teaching success. The Business Process Modeling, writing use cases/user stories, data modeling, and decision modeling are the high priorities for Business Analyst (BA) training.
  • Utilize experiential learning methods and self-organization to create workshop environments that foster greater engagement of workshop participants more so than traditional classroom/lecture environments.
  • Proven experiences in helping individuals learn how to perform business analysis at all levels of the organization (individual, team, multi-team, organization, leadership).
  • Active practitioners of their craft - practitioners share lessons learned and insights from recent projects they have supported.


Requirements and skills: USA Citizen, 5 years of experience, Bachelor's Degree, etc.
