Project Description:

We are looking for trainer that can provide a 5 days Negotiation Strategies for Leaders Training, for 30-40 persons. If you are interested please send us your resume and hourly rate.

Performance Requirements:

 The goals of the workshops must include:

  • Define the different types of negotiations and the pros and cons of each
  • Identify individual negotiation styles and explain strengths and challenges of each
  • Explain win/win and interest-based negotiations and key principles
  • Explain and apply a negotiation ‘methodology’ to a variety of situations and scenarios
  • Identify and demonstrate the steps in a negotiation process
  • List the steps for ‘preparing for’, ‘conducting’ and ‘concluding’ negotiation meetings
  • Identify clear objectives and desired negotiating outcomes
  • Analyze negotiation situations and demonstrate and implement negotiation strategies, tools and techniques in a variety of situations and scenarios
  • Explain how individual and group dynamics can impact the negotiation process
  • Demonstrate facilitative language that promotes dialogue, increases engagement and commitment and builds partnerships
  • Apply techniques to build consensus and gain buy-in
  • Apply techniques to mitigate negative behaviors and tactics during the negotiation process
  • Develop an action plan to improve negotiation skills

Instructional Delivery Methods:

  • Instruction will use adult learning principles, active and experiential learning
  • Instruction will be highly interactive and hands-on with 20% lecture and 80% collaborative and peer-to-peer learning.
  • Scenario-based activities will be immersive in nature; will include small and large group discussions; opportunities for practice and application; and implementation of negotiation methodologies, strategies and techniques.
  • Participants will actively engage over the duration of the course and will work 5-8 scenario-based immersive exercises starting with one-on-one negotiations; moving to team-based negotiations and ending with a Cap Stone scenario with complex, multi-party negotiations.
  • Participants will receive personalized and group feedback following each scenario-based exercise.
  • Participants will complete pre- and post- work, which could include recommended reading, to help level set and accelerate the learning process and enhance the overall experience.
  • Participants will breakout into smaller working groups/teams and complete the scenario-based exercises accordingly.
  • To accelerate learning transfer and provide performance support, participants will be provided and use supporting job aids and templates for various parts of the negotiating process.

Coach/Trainer must have:

  • Expert knowledge in the application of their topic
  • Knowledge and experience in presentation of course materials and instructional delivery
  • Knowledge and experience in group facilitation and experiential learning techniques
Requirements and skills: USA Citizen, 5 years of experience, Bachelor's Degree, etc.
