Project Description:

We are looking for an instructor to conduct comprehensive retirement trainings listed bellow:

FEDERAL EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT SYSTEM (FERS): (Two-day Course) 

MINIMUM COURSE OBJECTIVES: 

• Determine possible retirement date. 

• Explain the major steps involved in the retirement application process

• Explain how the basic annuity is computed.  

• List the benefits that can be payable to survivors. 

• Identify federal health and life insurance benefits after retirement, as well as entitlement to Social Security benefits, including Medicare. 

• Explain how/whether Social Security benefit will be affected by the Windfall Elimination Provision 

• Identify retirement income needs. 

• Develop appropriate financial plans for retirement. 

• Identify TSP withdrawal options. 

Course shall include a reference manual for use by attendees during training and after course completion. 

TARGET AUDIENCE:  Federal employees who are at least five (5) years from retirement.

STUDENT COUNT: Student counts not to exceed fifty (50) Students.

LOCATION: Washington D.C.

FEDERAL EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT SYSTEM (FERS) – MID-CAREER: (Two-day Course) 

MINIMUM COURSE OBJECTIVES: 

• FERS system overview. 

• Identify the various financial, tax, legal and estate issues that affect benefits.  

• Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) overview.  

• Develop systematic plans for meeting long-range retirement goals.

• Determine possible retirement date. 

• Voluntary contributions. 

• Creditable Military service. 

• Annuities & Insurances. 

• Estate Planning.  

• Will & Beneficiaries.

Course shall include a reference manual for use by attendees during training and after course completion.   

TARGET AUDIENCE:  Federal employees with more than ten (10) years before retirement eligibility.

STUDENT COUNT: Student counts not to exceed fifty (50) Students.

LOCATION: Washington D.C.

CIVIL SERVICE RETIREMENT SYSTEM (CSRS) (One day Course) 
MINIMUM COURSE OBJECTIVES: 

• Differentiate among federal benefits, CSRS, and Medicare.  

• Explain the Guide to Financial Planning and Investing. 

• Focus on personal readiness in all areas in preparation for retirement.  

• Explain the differences between taxes, estate planning, wills, trusts and other legal matters 

• Compare the meanings of Health and Wellness.   

• Determine possible retirement date and explain the major steps involved in the retirement application process. 

• Explain how basic annuity will be computed and what benefits will be payable to survivors.

• Determine Social Security benefits eligibility, including Medicare, and how/whether Social Security benefit will be affected by either the Windfall Elimination Provision or the Government Pension Offset. 

• Identify federal health and life insurance benefits after retirement.

• Identify TSP withdrawal options. 

• Identify retirement income needs and develop appropriate financial plans for retirement. 

Course shall include a reference manual for use by attendees during training and after course completion.  

TARGET AUDIENCE:  Federal employees covered by CSRS.

At minimum, the CSRS course shall be held two (2) times per year, with the option for more courses with 15 days’ notice to the vendor. 

STUDENT COUNT: Student counts not to exceed thirty (30) Students.

LOCATION: Washington D.C.
