We are looking for an Project Manager to work on a government project described below. PROJECT MANAGEMENT SUPPORT. Under the direction and in coordination with the PMO Program Leader the contractor shall engage in managing projects according to project management principles and practices. Principles include: Project Initiation. Develops project charters that outline scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timing. Planning. Develops project plans that define how each project will be executed, monitored, controlled, and closed. The plan content will vary depending upon the nature of the work to be accomplished, complexity, and methods undertaken. Completes work breakdown structure to estimate required effort. Provides a project schedule. Estimates costs and determines budget. Determines how results will be measured and expectations will be met. Determines and obtains required resources. Develops contract specifications and statement of work as necessary. Execution. Performs quality assurance. Develops and manages project teams. Monitoring. Tracks and reports on project milestones and provides status reports. Effectively manages project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change request forms. Resolves any issues and solves problems throughout project life cycle. Close-out. Completes post-project evaluation and communicates lessons-learned. Develops tools and best practices for project management and execution. Ensures all project documents are safely archived. Closes contract procurements. Project management techniques also include leading on-site or virtual teams, including geospatial specialists and other subject matter experts. The contractor shall establish priorities using pre-identified Waterfall, Agile or other methodologies. Project Manager: The project manager shall have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in federal government project support. Additionally, the project manager shall have experience in the following areas:1) Project or program management over the Agile development of Information Technology or Geospatial software, 2) Applications and Support Services, 3) Federal government acquisition processes including performance-based service contracting, application of federal procurement regulations, policies, and procedures, preparation of requirements documents, and contracts management. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE The period of performance is six (6) months from time of award for the baseline services.
