 Diversity and Inclusion Training

Project Description:

The work will consist of developing and delivering a single Diversity and Inclusion training session (4 hours) with location in Silver Spring, MD (for up to 20 attendees) and simultaneously broadcast as a webinar for the off-site employees (anticipate 15 attendees participating, others may be viewing). The training will be held at a mutually acceptable time between September 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019 depending on organizational requirements. The Deliverables Table outlines the specific timeframe.

▪Diversity and Inclusion – understanding their importance in the workplace. What is diversity and inclusion, what are their differences, why are both important for a successful work environment, and what are the positive impacts of inclusion in the decision making process to the employees and the organization.

▪ Strategies for Inclusion in the Workplace – strategies for all employees in seeking out and valuing diverse opinions. Trainees will be provided with practical tools for soliciting diverse perspectives to inform decision making and utilize in everyday activities.

▪ The training should employ multiple methods (for example, mini-lectures, case studies, interactive exercises, group discussion) and incorporate relevant scenarios in a non- threatening learning environment. Desired outcomes include individuals gaining perspective and learning techniques to enhance the ability of individuals to engage with one another in ways that are respectful and in keeping with the best ideals of diversity and inclusivity."
